Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food & Culture

August  8 - September 16 2010

It’s summer time and the living is ….. tastebud tingling!

This Festival has become a must not just in the culinary calendar, but also for everyone wanting to get a wider and entertaining perspective on Pennine Lancashire.

The menu is varied, catering for every taste and age group, from children wanting an outdoor picnic with theatre to those seeking stately home splendour and top tips from top chefs. Events range from The 4th World Gravy Wrestling Championships to gourmet breaks!

Many, including steam train dining, culinary canal cruises, brewery tours and Edwardian teas are supported by Industrial Powerhouse, a scheme to promote the region’s industrial heritage.

Meanwhile Perspectives of Pennine Lancashire promises to bring you six stunning and fun art works specially created for this year’s Festival.

Festival organisers have a suggestion  - why not make a meal of it and stay a little longer in Pennine Lancashire.

The Food festival website is full of ideas about how to make your particular party last!
