Long Causeway Smallholders’ Market

A group of Mancunians saw the light and relocated to Pennine Lancashire to till the soil and tend their own small herd of pigs, ducks, hens and lambs on nine acres of fertile pasture and woodland.

Check out the produce tent on the last Sunday each month to sample home produced pies, pastries, jams, chutneys, condiments, vegetables, eggs and meats.

Well worth a visit, not just for the seasonal larder, but also to appreciate the gorgeous surrounding countryside.
